RUOK?
In 2008 we created the original RUOK - and helped turn mental health stigma into a national conversation.
The EV Road Trip
Watch seriesFor 20 years we've translated complex issues into accessible ideas. We turn communications challenges into stories that land, and conversations that shift how people think, feel and act. We tell better stories. Because you can't be what you can't see.
Got a message that matters?
We'll help you tell it. Get in touch here.
In 2008 we created the original RUOK - and helped turn mental health stigma into a national conversation.
2010 we created Buy Nothing New Month, to save money, reduce waste and normalise the ‘circular economy’ where we used stuff again and again (instead of the dumb outdated ‘linear economy’, where we dig stuff out of the ground, use it and throw away. Because…where on earth is AWAY?)
In 2012 we craned an electric home onto Fed Square. We showed how cool it is to live fossil fuel free. Ch7 Sunrise moved in. They told 18 TV stories about living like The New Joneses.
2015 we created The New Joneses Tiny House and spread a big message of sustainability across the country.
2020 we created The New Joneses EV Road Trip. Our funny series shares simple solutions to the climate sh*tshow and counters the doom-scroll with real people taking positive action.
"I've followed The New Joneses for over a decade. From pioneering Australia's 1st all-electric home at Fed Square to creating a national climate storytelling force, The New Joneses bring clarity to complexity. Their work is more than communications—it's pragmatic policy reform in action. They don't just talk about a better world; they help build it—one home, one family, one community, one compelling story at a time."Hon. Philip Dalidakis, former Minister for Innovation, Small Business and Trade

The multi-award winning New Joneses Studio is led by Tamara DiMattina, one of Australia's leading climate change communications innovators.
In 2010 an expedition to Antarctica posed the question: how will you be part of the solution?
Since then Tamara has dedicated her career to turning government targets into household action. Tamara's team make climate solutions accessible, desirable and normal for mainstream audiences.
The touring tiny houses, the entertaining road trips, the campaigns that became movements — all came from the conviction:
You can't be what you can't see.
Tamara leads strategy and creative, bringing in collaborators for production and delivery as required. Clients work directly with the principal.
Let's talk.
